The NAVIGATOR GLIDER

The first time you ride a Glider you will feel the effortless boardspeed! You’ll have the ability to take off from way out the back before a swell even breaks and you will experience speed straight out of the gates. It may take a few waves or a couple of surfs to get accustomed to staying back on the board to turn. This board is designed around turning, trimming and gliding more so than nose riding. Experience the forward trim and the momentum unique to this style of board which has amazing natural board speed and can link up sections from way out the back. You can turn, transition rail to rail and cover a lot of area fast-you will glide past crumbling whitewater, and be connecting sections that no other board will do, all the way to the beach. The longer rail lines and rocker can take a little getting used to even if you’re used to 9 foot plus longboards, but once you dial into turning from the tail and stepping back for your turn, you’ll feel this board truly come to life. The Navigator has a wide wave range, from small to medium and even larger waves with a preference for a sloping face and a high curl. like a lot of days. They're not so suited to short sucky beach breaks Typically built in the 9 to 12 foot range, this is not a mal, or a log, or a nose rider...it's a Glider! My design features low overall rocker with a continuous curve in the outline and bottom curve delivering smooth rail-to-rail transitions. With very refined rail volume , a sleek tapered foil and fine tail thickness, you get a sensitive feeling like that of a much smaller board .Surfers that own and ride my Gliders will tell you that they are one of their favourite boards. The sleek lines generate high boardspeed quickly and then build on it over the length of ride. Kevin, a former police motor cyclist, rides his 12 footer at the Superbank and has been clocked down the line at 34 kilometres per hour!
